About Danielle Dryden

 

Danielle Dryden is a dedicated advocate and coach for neurodivergent individuals, specializing in autism and ADHD support. Diagnosed with Autism and ADHD later in life, Danielle brings a unique perspective to her work, combining her personal experiences as an autistic ADHDer with extensive professional training. As a parent to neurodivergent children, she understands the complexities and joys of navigating a neurodivergent household, bringing both empathy and practical strategies to her coaching practice.

Danielle’s late diagnosis has deeply informed her understanding of neurodivergence, allowing her to connect authentically with her clients. Her coaching approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and strengths-based positive psychology, designed to empower individuals to harness their unique strengths and achieve their personal and professional goals. With Danielle, you'll embark on a transformative journey toward self-discovery and thriving.

 

Summary of Experience:

Danielle’s professional journey began in 2001 with the Probation Services, where she has served in multiple roles, including Probation Officer and Team Support Officer. She has extensive experience in various settings, from prisons to courts to juvenile and adult attendance centres, where she has led CBT groups, managed treatment programs, and specialized in working with individuals with personality disorders. Her work in the Criminal Justice System has given her profound insight into the challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals, particularly those undiagnosed.

In 2017, Danielle expanded her focus to become a Health and Life Coach, working with the NHS as a Senior Health Coach. She holds numerous qualifications, including an ICF-accredited Life Coach certification, a Level 4 Diploma in CBT, and a Level 5 Diploma in Positive Psychology and Autism. Her professional practice is deeply informed by trauma-sensitive approaches, reflecting her commitment to understanding the unique experiences of neurodivergent individuals.

Danielle is currently pursuing further studies in positive psychology and neurodiversity coaching, with the goal of achieving Chartership status as a coaching psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Her recent professional development includes participation in a PESI webinar on ADHD and completion of a 44-hour Continuing Coaching Education program focused on ADHD. She is also working towards full accreditation with the Professional Association of ADHD Coaches.

Personal Insights:

Living in Northwest England with her partner and three energetic boys, Danielle’s home is a vibrant and dynamic space, shared with an assortment of pets, including Labradors, a wandering tortoise, curious rats, and playful gerbils. Her household is a testament to acceptance and diversity, where everyone’s unique qualities are celebrated.
